Held from 11 November to 7 December, the International Tea Festival – WORLD T.E.A FEST 2025 in Lam Dong province offers a series of artistic activities rich in national identity, recreating the beauty of Vietnamese tea from cultural traditions to creative, modern elements and creating a rich experience for visitors. One of the festival's standout highlights is a synchronised tea-brewing and tea-offering performance set to the music "Vu Khuc Tam Thanh Tra", performed by 1,111 tea maidens with the aim of setting a Vietnam Record. The event took place on the morning of 30 November 2025 in Bao Loc city, Lam Dong province.
Vietnam has a tea culture closely intertwined with wet-rice agriculture for more than 2,000 years. Initially, the tea plant was regarded as a precious herb with healing and detoxifying properties, before gradually becoming a familiar drink in Vietnamese daily life. Stretching from North to South, the tea plant is found in every region: from ancient tea tree communities hundreds of years old in the North to high-quality tea-growing areas in the South, especially in Lam Dong province – known for its many fine and precious tea varieties.

Tea is one of the most popular and familiar drinks for the Vietnamese people. Thanks to favourable natural conditions, together with the dedication and skill of farmers, famous Vietnamese tea brands have established their position in both domestic and international markets
In Vietnamese tea culture, every style of tea enjoyment reflects the Vietnamese outlook on life, such as righteousness, sincerity and the art of treating others well. This is expressed in the saying "tra no tuu tuong" ("in tea, a servant; in wine, a general"), which speaks of the spirit of service and the virtue of humility in tea culture. All these values and practices have crystallised into a distinctive style known as Viet Tra Thuc.

The diversity of styles in Vietnamese tea enjoyment is expressed through the five styles of Vietnamese tea (Ngu Thuc Viet Tra)
The International Tea Festival 2025 – WORLD T.E.A FEST 2025 (held from 11 November to 7 December in Lam Dong province) aims to honour the centuries-old heritage of the tea plant and to preserve traditional cultivation techniques and the art of tea enjoyment. The event also seeks to introduce the distinctive features of Vietnamese tea culture to the world, while connecting cultures around the globe through tea and building an international platform where tea becomes a common language of peace, cooperation and sustainable development. In addition, the festival promotes the tea economy, supports trade promotion, expands export markets, raises product value and encourages green production models and organic agriculture towards sustainable development.

The International Tea Festival 2025 – WORLD T.E.A FEST 2025 has attracted special attention at home and abroad through activities combining cultural, economic and artistic elements rich in national identity
Alongside the many attractive programmes and activities within the festival, one of the most impressive highlights of the International Tea Festival 2025 was the synchronised tea-brewing and tea-offering performance to "Vu Khuc Tam Thanh Tra", performed by 1,111 tea maidens on the morning of 30 November 2025 in Bao Loc city, Lam Dong province.
The performance is steeped in national musical character, with successive layers of music that tell a story and delicately evoke each step of tea brewing. The music features mainly traditional instruments such as the dan tranh (zither), bamboo flute, dan bau (monochord) and dan nhi (two-stringed fiddle), creating a serene atmosphere rich in Vietnamese character. The musical structure follows a young woman's entire tea-brewing journey – from preparation to the moment she raises the cup in offering – expressing the care, refinement and deep affection of the Vietnamese people for tea culture.

Present at the event, representatives of the Vietnam Record Organisation (VietKings) officially inspected and recorded the figures as well as the entire performance in order to review and register the organiser's proposal to set a Vietnam Record for this special synchronised performance. All information will be compiled for appraisal and evaluation in accordance with the proper procedures, submitted to the Record Council and announced to the public as soon as possible.

The "Vu Khuc Tam Thanh Tra" performance is not merely an artistic display but also a message of inner calm and harmony sent to everyone, especially lovers of the art of Vietnamese tea. This synchronised performance, together with the other activities of the International Tea Festival 2025, has made a significant contribution to positioning the Vietnamese tea brand, further affirming the role and position of Lam Dong in gradually realising its vision of becoming Asia's tea culture centre and spreading the core value "Vietnamese Tea – Vietnamese Soul", thereby opening a new journey to take Vietnamese tea culture far across the globe.
